Winter Storm

It's 35 degrees, the wind is blowing 45 miles per hour, and it is raining! So what does a photographer do? I was fascinated with the images on the raindrops.

Here is a closeup of all the upside down images. I like the way they are distorted, depending on the shape of the raindrop.

Sunnyside Cemetery, Coupeville

Even on a cloudy day, the historic cemetery at Coupeville (Whidbey Island) offers scenic views of the Ebey Historic Reserve.

Many of the early pioneers were buried here.

There is also a restored blockhouse. No matter the weather, there is much history to investigate here.

Our cat MJ was intent on viewing the birds at a feeder. As I looked at her, I was amazed at her eye. The distance from the cornea to the pupil is huge. I wonder what it would be like to see through a cat's eye...
