This view of the Olympics is from San de Fuca, the small Whidbey Island community of my childhood. My parents owned a farm about a half mile away and I frequently rode my bicycle to the tiny general store near the water. This photo is from March 31.
I love to park at the Prairie Overlook near Coupeville and take the trail out to Ebey's Landing. On this trail one sees the Olympic Mountains, Mt. Baker, the Cascade Mountains, and Mt. Rainier.
A southwest view from the east side of San de Fuca at the end of March. San de Fuca is the little Whidbey Island community of my childhood. Land developers had big plans for this place over a century ago. At one time there was a hotel near where I took this photo.
Oak Harbor Bay and the Olympic Mountains from the east side of Oak Harbor at the end of March. I was at the entrance of the Sno-Isle Library parking lot for this view.
