One of the few times the building on Smith Island were clearly visible, on August 27. The lighthouse is now automated but a family lived on the island in my parent's time. I was at Joseph Whidbey State Park.
The full moon had an orange cast early this morning from the forest fire smoke in the air. (About 1:30 this morning.)
Smoke from forest fires is back at Whidbey Island, giving the sun that odd orange cast yesterday afternoon. This smoke is coming from eastern Washington.
