Located on the northwest side of Whidbey Island, the park has several inviting trails. Some of the longest trail goes through a forest and then into open grassland. Another trail parallels the beach. The paths are well maintained and well used. The area is open for dog lovers so be prepared two meet some along the way. Although dogs are supposed to be leashed, three of the six I met today were not.
The area has been preserved in its natural state and wildlife abounds. In just the hour I was there today I saw a hawk and two eagles.
Included at the park are picnic areas and a camp site for kayakers. A great place to spend an afternoon.
