Arizona: Sedona, Chapel of the Holy Cross

No trip to the Sedona area would be complete without a visit to the Chapel of the Holy Cross.

It was commissioned by Marguerite Brunswig Staude, a pupil of Frank Lloyd Wright. The chapel was completed in 1956.

It is located right in the middle of red rock country and Senator Barry Goldwater helped Staude in gaining the special use permit.
