Oregon: Mt. Bachelor

Mt. Bachelor is a favorite winter ski site in central Oregon. It reaches 9,068 feet. I was surprised to find that the road to the ski area was closed (unlike the Mt. Baker ski area in Washington state which is a favorite summer destination for hikes and picnics).

The photo below is from mile post 27 on highway 372. It is supposed to be a favorite photographer's spot with Mt. Bachelor reflected in Sparks Lake. But alas, the level of the lake must have been down as there was only grass before me.
