Skipper Moth on Lavender

Each year at the end of summer, I see these Skipper Moths on the lavender.
Thanks, Larry for their identification.
They remind me of the design of a fighter jet.
This fellow seems to have one bad eye.

Quaker Moth

I think this is a Common Quaker Moth. I was amazed at the intricate design - good camouflage for rocks or gravel.

Moths, Bees and a Spider

I am still having fun getting some of those close-ups in the garden.  Hand held, I take about twenty shots to get a good one in focus.
