September Lightning Views
We had quite a storm last night. The lightning and thunder is unusual for the pacific North-west. It lasted for several hours and also brought heavy rain.
I took about 300 ten second exposures to get around a dozen images of the lightning.
This one did a
u-turn.

The odd lighting in the sky earlier was an indication that something was coming. Notice the rainbow at the right of this image.

September Sunset Views
There were several fishing last night along the West Beach shore of Whidbey Island.
This was the view a few minutes earlier as fishing boats headed home.
The sun set at 281 degrees, just over the southern tip of Vancouver Island.
As the last light was fading, the lighthouse on Smith Island began to give warning to those still on the Salish Sea.
