Quaker Moth

I think this is a Common Quaker Moth. I was amazed at the intricate design - good camouflage for rocks or gravel.

Magnolia

The first blossoms on the magnolia are bursting out.

Yesterday's brisk wind created crashing waves and enough humidity in the air that the Olympic Mountains were hazey.

I was fascinated by the heavy frost we had the other morning. There was plenty of humidity in the air and it made for interesting mountains of frost. (Well, mini-mountains.)
