Super Moonset

The moon set over the Olympic Mountains this morning just before six a.m.

This is called a super moon because the moon is at perigee, the closest to the earth in its elliptical orbit.

These photos were taken at the entrance to the Joseph Whidbey State Park on the west side of Whidbey Island.
