Mukilteo, Washington

The lighthouse at the Mukilteo ferry landing is picturesque.  The ferry connects Whidbey Island with the mainland at Mukilteo, south of Everett.
Fishermen take advantage of a warm and calm evening.
This was the scene earlier in the day.  The Mukilteo Light Station still operates, its Fourth Order Fresnel lens having a range of 12 miles.

Eagle in Oak Harbor Bay, Whidbey Island

The sun is finally out again (who knew February would last for four months).  Several eagles grace the Oak Harbor Marina.  This one remained, even as boats and kayaks were launched.
In the distance, Scenic Heights and the Olympic Mountains.  It is amazing to see the Olympics with this much snow in June, a result of our cool spring.
