Anthem of the Seas, Portland, Maine
We had seen this ship at Bar Harbor, quite a distance from the shore. I was surprised to see it the next morning in Portland. It is the second ship in the Quantum class, the second largest class of passenger ships and was christened in April, 2015. It has 18 decks (16 accessible by passengers) and can hold 4,905 passengers. We spoke with some of the passengers finding out they had come down from Canada. This was their most southern stop and the ship would head north again during the night.

Maui Lana'i Passenger Ferry
I was on March Point near Anacortes in the middle of August when I caught a Maui Lana'i Passenger Ferry heading north out of the Swinomish Slough. I think the vessel was built by Mavrik Marine out of La Conner. It was a bit disconcerting to see a boat that was crafted for Hawaiian waters in Padilla Bay.
